Dr. Zastrow is a central Jersey native. He graduated from Rutgers University Cook College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biological Sciences and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in 2014.
Dr. Zastrow has presented research at the American Academy of Optometry meetings in 2012 and 2013. He has also published research on dynamic visual acuity in the Journal of Optometry and Visual Performance.
Dr. Zastrow has had training in ocular disease diagnosis and management from OMNI Eye Services of NJ and the Providence Rhode Island VA Hospital. He has extensive experience treating and managing patients with diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular changes, dry eye disease, and fitting those with specialty contact lenses. He is currently a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
In his spare time Dr. Zastrow enjoys traveling and recreational sports such as bowling and golf.
